Green Card Required Position Summary COMPANY is seeking a Structural Staff Engineering Technician to support overhead transmission line and grid infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for developing and modifying transmission models, drawings, and technical deliverables using PLS-CADD and other engineering design tools while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams. Required Qualifications Must have overhead transmission line design experience Must have PLS-CADD experience Diploma or Certificate required Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or related field preferred Minimum 5 years of related experience Ability to work onsite 5 days/week Key Responsibilities Develop and modify engineering drawings, models, and technical deliverables. Create and maintain transmission line designs using PLS-CADD. Apply engineering standards, codes, and established design practices. Perform design calculations, material takeoffs, estimates, and documentation. Review design inputs and deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance. Coordinate with engineering and design teams to support project execution. Provide technical guidance to other technicians and engineering professionals. Support continuous improvement, quality initiatives, and field activities as needed. Preferred Skills Strong overhead transmission design background Experience with BIM, 3D modeling, and engineering design software Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and quality processes Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills This is an excellent contract-to-hire opportunity supporting critical transmission and utility infrastructure projects with long-term growth potential.
