Accounts receivable specialist

Our client, a well-established local company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its long-tenured team. Key Responsibilities Manage the accounts receivable process, including billing and account maintenance Post and reconcile payments accurately and in a timely manner Monitor outstanding balances and perform collection activities as needed Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports Research and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues Respond to customer questions regarding charges, statements, payments, and account balances Work closely with internal departments to research and resolve account discrepancies Maintain accurate and organized A/R records and documentation Assist with month-end accounting activities and reporting Provide professional and courteous service to customers Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed Qualifications Previous accounts receivable, billing, collections, or general accounting experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to handle customer inquiries and sensitive account matters professionally and confidentially Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment The Opportunity This position offers the opportunity to join a stable, close-knit team where employees work together and take pride in doing things the right way.
